Stone Barn Cotswolds Wedding

Stone Barn Cotswolds Wedding Photography

Another fantastic Stone Barn Cotswolds wedding. The day conjured up a variety of different emotions from sadness and reflection to pure joyous fun. And boy did Gemma and Cameron know how to have fun!  For me the day started by being welcomed with twelve lovely ladies all ready and raring for wedding prep, obviously great friends and luckily for me all super nice. My initial thoughts were tonight will be some party. I didn't even have to wait that long as during the speeches the party really kicked off with the introduction of the singing waiters...what an absolute blast!  It was genuinely such a pleasure to photograph this wedding and it kept me on my toes throughout, just the way I like it!  Just see the photos below. It was also a great to work with Jumping Spider Films. If you like what you see and would be interested in me photographing your Stone Barn Cotswolds wedding, please feel free to get in touch.

Matara Centre wedding

Matara Centre Wedding

Clear blue skies welcomed Lara and Mike for an amazing Matara Centre wedding. This Cotswolds venue really has to be seen to appreciate the outstanding decor which differs from room to room. A wedding photographers joy and perfect for the little ones to run around and enjoy the great outdoors. I was initially photographing the wedding on August the 1st which then coincidentally was the same date Lara, who looked great in her boho bride style,  was due to give birth. We all came up with a date that everyone was free and certainly got lucky with the weather. This wedding was very much family orientated with a happy and joyous mood throughout, especially during the speeches which continued into the evening with some great moves on the dance floor, followed by everyones favourite toasted marshmallows :). Lara and Mike thank you once again for putting your trust in me to capture your special day.

Bishopswood Grange Wedding

A first wedding at this beautiful country house and what a wedding it was. I had met the lovely couple the week before for a little walk and talk, learning more about their special day, so I was really excited to get going.  Blue skies welcomed the lovely Rebecca to Bishopswood Grange where the very smart Owen, dressed in his RAF uniform, was waiting in anticipation. From the outset I could see how the day would unfold. The two lovely families were super welcoming so capturing the day was an absolute pleasure. One family member in particular stood out from the crowd! Rebecca's nephew was such a little character and half way through the ceremony he decided that he'd had enough of the great outdoors and tried heading back inside to do more exploring, see the photos below :). The joyous ceremony was then followed by a great evening of partying which continued late into the night with some great moves being thrown on the dance floor. A big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day, especially Georgie from Hey Pesto Catering.

Please enjoy the photos below. If you're getting married in the Cotswolds, the UK or abroad please feel free to contact me :)

Monkey Valley Resort Cape Town wedding

Monkey Valley Resort Cape Town Wedding

Where do I start with this one? Tracey, originally from Cape Town and now living in the Cotswolds with Alexis, very kindly asked if I'd be willing to fly over to South Africa for their destination wedding. Obviously not a hard one for me to answer! The main question that sprung to my head was please be a date that i'm free and luckily for me I was :)

When Tracey and Alexis sent me a link to the Monkey Valley Resort an immediate smile spread across my face. Set in a beautiful forest, it has a rustic-chic feel with an unrivalled view of Noordhoek beach and nature reserve.

The day after I arrived I was invited to a pre-wedding South African style braii, a bbq on steroids basically! My initial observations were that there is a distinct hierarchy and certain people have their roles to play to create a spectacular evening. Basically the hospitality was immense. and rather than being the wedding photographer I quite literally felt like a member of the family! I won't bother mentioning the wedding day as it was just a pleasure to capture  and so nice to reminisce whilst editing it. Don't take my word for it just have a little look below. A big thank you to Andrew Morgan, a wedding photographer from Cape Town, for helping me on the day. I was fortunate enough to have a few days either side for a holiday and to see the draw dropping Cape Town scenery and did I mention a post wedding braii :) A big thank you once again to Tracey and Alexis for putting your trust in me to come over and capture your amazing wedding day. If you'd like me to capture your destination wedding you can find me here.

Puro Beach Marbella wedding

Puro Beach Marbella wedding

It was basically start to finish laid back fun in the Spanish sun at Puro Beach Marbella; the setting for this destination wedding. I was asked if I would come over by Valerie and Nick who hail from Holland and Australia respectively and now living in Tasmania together. Obviously one of those i'll check my diary moments for me :). Their amazing hospitality started the day before the wedding, I was invited to attend a pre wedding day bbq at Valerie's dad's villa. Little did I know that within 15 minutes of arriving I would be dragged up to dance with the Spanish entertainment. Certainly one way to break the ice. Hopefully it wasn't filmed and will never arise, nobody wants to see that. The day was just pure laughter and the first time ever that i've seen a bride cut the bottom of her dress off so she could practice some skipping, limbo and throw some shapes on the dance floor without restriction. All I can say is what a legend, though ladies please do not try this at home :). Or is there a trend to follow?

Soho Farmhouse wedding

Soho Farmhouse wedding

This can only been described as an absolutely ‘magic’ Soho Farmhouse wedding , one of the Cotswolds most exclusive countryside venues.
The wonderful Sami and Mike (a superstar magician) headed over from New York to celebrate their special day alongside 140 of their nearest and dearest family and friends. I initially chatted to the couple on Skype and even then I could see how in love these two were. There was such tender emotion throughout the day mixed with immense laughter and fun. The day started with the lads doing a spot of shooting and ended with a packed dance floor and guests feeding each other desserts with 5 feet long forks! Now that was an experience to witness :) (to witness it for yourself please see below!)
A big thank you to Aga Tomaszek for helping me on the day, Green Biscuit wedding films and also event planner Hannah Trevaskis from Soho Farmhouse. Sami and Mike thank you once again for having me along to capture your special day :)
