The stunning Clearwell Castle wedding venue, a hidden gem set in the heart of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Constructed in 1727 by Thomas Wyndam and designed by Roger Morris. It certainly is a fairytale wedding venue, and so picturesque. Chosen by so many couples to celebrate their special day. A very chilled wedding venue, which is a pleasure to photograph. I always receive a fabulous welcome from the Clearwell Castle wedding staff, it really is a great for me personally, being a recommended photographer here, a venue that I have now know very well and love.
Morning preparation, one of my favourite parts of a wedding day, the time you get to witness some nerves mixed with excitement. Clearwell Castle have a few options to get ready in. All styled differently, though equally elegant.

The ceremony room is simply stunning. Where two people, two families and friends, are all there to celebrate their special day. Clearwell Castle is literally one of those venues where being a photographer already gives you the perfect backdrop everywhere you look. I could have quite easily kept these two lovely people here for the week to do some portraits. More importantly there is always a party to attend, there are always some great moves going down on the dance floor. you can check out some of these images below. This really is one of the best castle wedding venues. Hosted and planned by Country House Weddings.
For the photographers out there, I shot these weddings using two Nikon D850's with the 35 1.4 and 85 1.4 lenses. With everything lit using natural light until the first dance, where I used the SB910 on camera. You can see more images taken with this equipment on my weddings gallery

Neat set full of great moments! I found Clearwell Castle quite tricky to shoot at (weather & light wasn’t helping), but you worked it like a boss! xx
