Wedding Photography at Rancho Santana
I recently photographed a beautiful wedding for Heidi and Nathalie at Rancho Santana in Nicaragua. The couple who live in New York, celebrated with their friends and family. The couple had fallen in love with Nicaragua after numerous visits to Central America. It took me no time at all to realise why. Simply Wow! The colours, the architecture , obviously the weather and the people are just so warm, happy and welcoming.
The wedding was held at Rancho Santana not far from Granada, Nicaragua. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The scenery and backdrop is unreal. Located on 2,700 acres of Nicaragua’s pristine Emerald Coast. Basically a surfers paradise.
Heidi and Nathalie came to meet me in Cheltenham eighteen months before their wedding. Five minutes later I already felt like their best friend. I believe eight drinks later I became their wedding photographer. The two legends got married just before sunset on a beautiful beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The ceremony was performed by their two friends who themselves had got married recently. I was lucky enough to witness and capture so many wonderful emotions. With an early sunset so near the equator, the party took hold early and continued long into the night. The dance floor had some serious moves going down. Started by an amazing first dance choreographed by one of their celebrants and good friends.
I was lucky enough to spend fifteen days in Nicaragua. Travelling to numerous villages, towns and cities. With all the amazing colours, buildings and happy people, I obviously had to bring the camera out on the days that I ventured the tourist attractions. I've included some street photography at the end of this blog post. So please take a look and enjoy the images.
Looks like you captured the essence of what made their wedding theirs mate, stellar job!
