Puro Beach Marbella wedding

Puro Beach Marbella wedding

It was basically start to finish laid back fun in the Spanish sun at Puro Beach Marbella; the setting for this destination wedding. I was asked if I would come over by Valerie and Nick who hail from Holland and Australia respectively and now living in Tasmania together. Obviously one of those i'll check my diary moments for me :). Their amazing hospitality started the day before the wedding, I was invited to attend a pre wedding day bbq at Valerie's dad's villa. Little did I know that within 15 minutes of arriving I would be dragged up to dance with the Spanish entertainment. Certainly one way to break the ice. Hopefully it wasn't filmed and will never arise, nobody wants to see that. The day was just pure laughter and the first time ever that i've seen a bride cut the bottom of her dress off so she could practice some skipping, limbo and throw some shapes on the dance floor without restriction. All I can say is what a legend, though ladies please do not try this at home :). Or is there a trend to follow?

Chateaux Rigaud Wedding

Chateau Rigaud Wedding

This Chateau Rigaud wedding was an absolute joy from start to finish. Even the thirty nine degree heat couldn't stop Laura and Philip having the most amazing wedding. A stunning venue close to the famous French town Saint Emillion, famous for its wine if you couldn't guess. These two super lovely and super chilled people headed over from Dubai, though both originate from Ireland. It's fair to say that the Irish craic lived up to all expectations. They even shipped over their own priest father Michael who entertained from the outset right up to the last dance when taking over the bands microphone to give his rendition of AC/DC's "You shook me all night long". Obviously achieving legendary status in the process. See the photos below to see what a great destination wedding this was. Laura and Philip thank you once again for putting your trust in me and i'm sure our paths will cross again hopefully some day soon :)

Those who helped make this day so good were especially the guests who travelled from far and wide and the very talented wedding vendors: venue -  Chateau Rigaud hair - Moira Borg, make up - Ariana Rose, band - The shuffles, also a shout out to Peter Hughes who helped me on the day along with Rodolphe of Best Day Productions on video.

Hayley and Patrick's wedding in Estepona Spain

It's about time that I blogged this magical destination wedding. Estepona in Spain what can I say? So beautiful with breathtaking views over looking Gibraltar. Hayley and Patrick first made contact asking if I would consider travelling to Spain, after coming across a photograph I had taken of Hayley a few years ago at The Battle of London (Crossfit Competition). Hayley and Patrick now living in Estepona and members of Crossfit Marbella held their wedding at their home in the mountains of Estepona, no description needed, I'll let the photos talk for me on this occasion.

The day started with bridal prep and absolutely no nerves whatsoever. Super relaxed and smiles all around making me feel welcome. Next it was a small car journey up to the mountains for the ceremony, again happy people everywhere enjoying the glorious weather and the celebrations. My job made easy with a mixture of fantastic scenery and fun loving people.

Hayley and Patrick's home was looking perfect with help from the talented Love Weddings Marbella. Paella being the dish of the day with sangria being the drink of choice by many. The speeches followed with some great banter flying around from the father of the bride and best man.

Afterwards the bride and groom managed a personal best in their wedding day WOD (Crossfit workout of the day), keeping a little energy saved for a trek further up the mountain for some fantastic sunset portrait shots, before heading back for the much awaited first dance.

Berlin anniversary shoot

A Berlin anniversary shoot, with a lovely couple from the German capital. This was organised by a friend and fellow wedding photographer Slawomir Urban. Such a cool city, I would highly recommend a visit. The architecture provided a great backdrop for the shoot with Dominik and Anne doing the rest. It wasn't all work, I did get to visit the Berlin Wall along with the Berlin TV Tower. With a few more destinations booked in for this coming year, 2016 looks to be very exiting. The camera equipment that I used was a Nikon D750, 35mm 50mm and 45mm Tilt-Shift lenses.
