The beautiful city of Bath is in the county of Somerset. It is famous for the elegant Georgian architecture, the Royal Crescent being one of it's most famous street's, alongside the Majestic Circus. Bath Spa was used by the Romans for it's natural hot springs, you can still bathe here. A must visit is also Bath Abbey, which also offers weddings to parishioners and ex school pupils. I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding here for that reason. Bath is also famous for it's rugby team. Founded in 1865, it is one of the oldest clubs in existence. Match days start with a beautiful walk alongside the river Avon, heading towards The Recreation Ground. A perfect weekend for a stag party.
Bath Wedding Venues
Being a Bath wedding photographer, I really get spoilt with venues to photograph at. Everywhere you look around Bath there are beautiful wedding venues such as The Roman Baths & Pump Room, Assembly Rooms. The Guildhall, Grittleton House and Victoria Art Gallery (featured in Charles Dickens and Jane Austen Novels). All these also hold weddings and receptions. Being a Spa town it attracts couples from all over the Uk and abroad. It also has the benefit of being surrounded by so many gorgeous and historic villages.
This wedding was a local private house. I had met the lovely couple the week before for a little walk and talk, learning more about their special day, so I was really excited to get going. Blue skies welcomed the lovely Rebecca to Bath, where the very smart Owen, dressed in his RAF uniform, was waiting in anticipation. From the outset I could see how the day would unfold. The two lovely families were super welcoming so capturing the the event as a Bath wedding photographer was an absolute pleasure. One family member in particular stood out from the crowd! Rebecca's nephew was such a little character and half way through the ceremony he decided that he'd had enough of the great outdoors and tried heading back inside to do more exploring, see the photos below :). The joyous ceremony was then followed by a great evening of partying which continued late into the night with some great moves being thrown on the dance floor. A big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day, especially Georgie from Hey Pesto Catering. Incredible food and quality service as usual.
