It was basically start to finish laid back fun in the Spanish sun at this awesome Puro Beach Marbella wedding, the setting for this destination wedding. I was asked if I would come over by Valerie and Nick who hail from Holland and Australia respectively and now living in Tasmania together. Obviously one of those i'll check my diary moments for me :). Their amazing hospitality started the day before the wedding, I was invited to attend a pre wedding day bbq at Valerie's dad's villa. Little did I know that within 15 minutes of arriving I would be dragged up to dance with the Spanish entertainment. Certainly one way to break the ice. Hopefully it wasn't filmed and will never arise, nobody wants to see that. The day was just pure laughter and the first time ever that i've seen a bride cut the bottom of her dress off so she could practice some skipping, limbo and throw some shapes on the dance floor without restriction. All I can say is what a legend, though ladies please do not try this at home :). Or is there a trend to follow? This Puro Beach Marbella wedding could create the new norm.

Puro Beach in Marbella wedding photography

This is now the third wedding that I have been lucky enough to photograph in the Marbella area. it's such a beautiful part of the world, surrounded by such picturesque towns and villages, a favourite of mine has to be Estepona. From a photographers perspective the light, the colours and the architecture make it the perfect setting. I'm happy to say that i'm already heading back to the area to photograph another wedding next year.
