A big welcome to Dan Morris Photography. I’m predominantly a Cotswolds wedding photographer living in Cheltenham, though I do travel and work all over the UK and abroad. To date I have photographed over 300 ceremonies including destination weddings across 15 different countries in 5 continents. I consider myself a creative documentary photographer, who also enjoys touching on some relaxed portraits. Often immersing myself at the core of the ‘action’ where I can find the most spontaneous, genuine and authentic of emotions. That being said I’m certainly not obtrusive and pride myself on ‘hiding in plain sight’, letting the day flow as if I wasn’t there. Capturing and telling your story with a happy smile.
This is not just my job, it’s my passion and I endeavour to give my very best to each and every couple who put their faith in me. Even though I have learnt so much since starting out on this career path, I continue to seek experiences which help me to develop even further. Street photography in particular has emerged as an interest of mine over time; from teaching me patience to seeking out unassuming moments, this hobby both compliments and extends my skillset. I have also taught five photography workshops and am a member of trusted wedding photography societies such as Fearless Photographers, Mywed, This is Reportage, Your Perfect Wedding Photographer, Ninedots and the ISPWP.
My photo journalistic vision mixed with creativity, captures weddings in it’s own fun, laid back and artistic way. I aim to seek out those special unpredictable real moments, documenting your wedding day without controlling the scene in front of me. Blending in and being a friend at your wedding and not just your photographer.
I specialise in wedding photography and have had the privilege to photograph couples enjoying the best day of their lives. Weddings are colourful and bright occasions and that is how I aim to capture them. Telling story of the whole day, documenting memorable moments that you will cherish forever. The privilege of being a wedding photographer.
I believe your wedding photographs should be more than a bunch of images. Creating great photographs for you and your family is my aim. Working with the light using pleasing compositions and patiently waiting for the perfect moment frozen in time. Giving you the best experience from your wedding photography in the Cotswolds.
