Puro Beach Marbella wedding
It was basically start to finish laid back fun in the Spanish sun at Puro Beach Marbella; the setting for this destination wedding. I was asked if I would come over by Valerie and Nick who hail from Holland and Australia respectively and now living in Tasmania together. Obviously one of those i'll check my diary moments for me :). Their amazing hospitality started the day before the wedding, I was invited to attend a pre wedding day bbq at Valerie's dad's villa. Little did I know that within 15 minutes of arriving I would be dragged up to dance with the Spanish entertainment. Certainly one way to break the ice. Hopefully it wasn't filmed and will never arise, nobody wants to see that. The day was just pure laughter and the first time ever that i've seen a bride cut the bottom of her dress off so she could practice some skipping, limbo and throw some shapes on the dance floor without restriction. All I can say is what a legend, though ladies please do not try this at home :). Or is there a trend to follow?

Norton Hall Cotswolds Wedding
A beautiful sunny day welcomed me to a fabulous Norton Hall Cotswolds wedding. This was my first time photographing at Norton Hall and on arrival I was impressed with what I saw, a great backdrop everywhere I looked. It was obvious to see from the outset that Lucy and Martin were two very popular people and it took me all of ten seconds to realise why. I hadn't met the couple though I was made to feel very at home, firstly by Martin (known to his friends as Bertie) at the Churchill Arms where he stayed with his groomsmen the night before. Then I headed over to the venue with the ladies who carried on the hospitality.
The joyous nature continued all the way through the day, which was a pleasure to capture throughout. An emotional but at the same time fun ceremony, great entertainment, awesome speeches and some top moves on the dance floor made my job an easy one. Just see the images below and you can witness for yourselves.
A big thank you goes to Anna (wedding planner) from Golden Pineapple who recommended me to the lovely couple. I also have the privilege of capturing her wedding at the same venue very soon :). Others that played their part were the London Essentials who helped make the day such a fantastic atmosphere throughout. It was also ace working alongside Gary (Videographer) from Gorgeous Films.
For the fellow camera geeks out there. This was all shot with two Nikon D850's with the 24 1.4, 35 1.4 and 85 1.4 lenses. With the Nikon SB910 flash to light the dancing.
Lucy and Martin thank you once again for having me along to capture your very memorable special. If you're interested in myself capturing your Norton Hall Cotswolds wedding please contact me here.

Chateau Rigaud Wedding
This Chateau Rigaud wedding was an absolute joy from start to finish. Even the thirty nine degree heat couldn't stop Laura and Philip having the most amazing wedding. A stunning venue close to the famous French town Saint Emillion, famous for its wine if you couldn't guess. These two super lovely and super chilled people headed over from Dubai, though both originate from Ireland. It's fair to say that the Irish craic lived up to all expectations. They even shipped over their own priest father Michael who entertained from the outset right up to the last dance when taking over the bands microphone to give his rendition of AC/DC's "You shook me all night long". Obviously achieving legendary status in the process. See the photos below to see what a great destination wedding this was. Laura and Philip thank you once again for putting your trust in me and i'm sure our paths will cross again hopefully some day soon :)
Those who helped make this day so good were especially the guests who travelled from far and wide and the very talented wedding vendors: venue - Chateau Rigaud hair - Moira Borg, make up - Ariana Rose, band - The shuffles, also a shout out to Peter Hughes who helped me on the day along with Rodolphe of Best Day Productions on video.
Grittleton House wedding
This was my first wedding at the stunning Grittleton House. An absolute Cotswolds gem.
For the photographers out there, this was captured using two Nikon D850's with the 24, 35 and 85 1.4 lenses. The dance shots using a few Good AD200's which are great.
Wedding Photography Workshop Cotswolds
The Wedding Photography Workshop Cotswolds was held at my home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This surprisingly didn't stop some people travelling from all over the U.K which is a great effort and being a sell out was very humbling. The aim of the game was for me to be an open book with no secrets and answer any questions that came my way. Some of the topics included in the workshop were off camera and on camera flash, capturing moments, editing and how I photograph couple's portraits with a live shoot where we walked around the streets and stopped when something grabbed my eye. I didn't want to use models, so we could have a real world scenario to show what I look for and how I get people to relax and be themselves. Two very good wedding photographer friends, Eve Dunlop and Rob Tarren stepped in and basically pretended to like each other for an hour :). A lovely bunch of photographers who braved the cold weather also had the chance to take some photos of the not so in love couple. The sun was super harsh so a great tester and one situation that sometimes requires a little more thought process. A big thank you also goes to Pixellu for sponsoring the workshop and offering a free year subscription to the awesome Smart Slides and Smart Albums.
Here's some feedback from a few photographers that attended.
